SRT Creator is a no-frills Mac OS X application that enables you to edit movie transcripts and convert them to the popular SRT subtitles format. The workflow is straightforward and consists of importing the transcript file, movie and then editing the subtitles.
Note that SRT Creator is not an application that allows you to create SRT subtitles from scratch. You have to upload the movie transcript first, and then edit and export it.
Icons for selecting the text file and movie are available on the top area of the main window. An additional feature is the pane that displays the keyword density.
The SRT Creator utility comes with a standard and non-impressive user interface divided into 3 areas: one for previewing the movie, one for editing the transcript and modifying timestamp and another one allocated to the aforementioned keyword pane.
Text files in various formats are supported, such as RTF, TXT or DOC. Moreover, you can import several types of movie formats as well, including MOV, MPEG, AVI and more.
